FAQ – Business Solutions

1) Cloud-base - Switching from BS to ABS.

This is done by swapping the license keys. If you have a BS license key, it will have to be changed to a ABS key. When the ABS key is inserted, the features specific to ABS will become available to the customer. No further actions is required.

2) On-premise - Switching from BS to ABS.

This is done by swapping the license keys. If the customer had a BS key, it will have to be changed to a ABS key. However, the Virtual Appliance itself will have to be changed, since these solutions have different Virtual Images that need to be imported in the hypervisor.

ABS Virtual Images > http://download.bitdefender.com/business/ABS/Current/

3) From On Premise to Cloud.

All endpoints need to be reinstalled throughout the entire network. Endpoints which communicate to a Virtual Appliance do not have the appropriate policies which would allow then to communicate and be assigned to the required company in the GravityZone Cloud Console. Therefore, they will not know to send or receive any requests or any type of communication from the Cloud Console.

4) Is it possible to block .mp3 / .exe / .avi / .flv etc file?

Our products are security intended, therefore we do not have a feature that would block .mp3 etc files from a USB stick or from any location. The .mp3 file is an audio compressed file, it cannot be considered as a threat. The Application Control can block applications, not specific files.

FAQ – MSP

If any customer/ partner account deleted accidentally, there is no way to 'restore' it. Though the endpoint installed with BEST will be remain protected, right?

if you are trying to delete a company that is a Partner type which manages other companies, it will not let you delete it. You would need to first delete those child companies. The endpoints will remain unmanageable, but protected; if it’s a monthly subscription, the endpoint will remain protected until the end of the current month, if it’s a yearly subscription, the endpoint will remain protected until the license expires.
